Flamengo failed to beat América-MG on Saturday afternoon (08.12) in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. The red-black boys were defeated 1-0 by the Minas Gerais team, the current champion of the competition. The Mais Querido, who drew with Coritiba in the first round, has one point and now occupies fourth place in the Group D table.

Despite not having won yet, Mengão still has a chance of qualifying. The team's next match will be on Monday (10.12), against Atlético-GO. The match is scheduled for 17:30 pm (Brasília time).
