Flamengo loses to Botafogo in the Under-20 State Championship
Despite improving throughout the game, Garotos do Ninho were defeated in the classic.
By Ian Sena - inIn a fourth round match of the U-20 State Championship, Flamengo faced Botafogo at Engenhão and lost 2-1 (Loran). Having played better for much of the match and driven by the Flamengo fans, who arrived at the stadium early to support the team, the "Garotos do Ninho" were unable to convert their chances into goals, especially in the second half. "Mais Querido" (The Most Beloved) started with Gabriel Batista, Kleber (Juninho), Bernardo, Rafael, Moraes, Hugo Moura, Theo (Gabriel Silva), Jean Lucas, Lucas Silva, João Pedro (Jardeu), and Loran.
Flamengo returns to the field next Saturday (18.02) at 10 am in Gávea, when they face Madureira.
