On Wednesday afternoon (16), the Garotos do Ninho entered the field for the first leg of the round of 20 of the Copa do Brasil Sub-4 and ended up losing to Goiás by 2 to XNUMX, at the Hailé Pinheiro stadium. Iago and Shola scored the red-black goals. To advance to the next stage, Mais Querido needs to win by three goals in the return leg.

The game
The match began with Goiás opening the scoring after just five minutes with Lucas, who cut into the box and shot without a chance for Dyogo Alves: 1-0.

The Ninho Boys reacted quickly. Fabiano was brought down inside the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Iago, the Flamengo captain, stepped up to take the kick, struck it firmly, and leveled the score at 1-1.

After the equalizer, the match remained evenly balanced, with the home side slightly superior, pushing forward more. In the 34th minute, Goiás's favorite team turned the game around! Goiás' defense misplayed the ball, and Shola found the back of the net, bursting into the box and firing into the corner to make it 2-1.  

The emerald team cleared the ball from midfield and soon tied the match again with a penalty awarded by the referee. Halerrandrio took the shot, but goalkeeper Dyogo Alves managed to touch the ball, but it went in: 2-2. A very lively first half ended with the score tied.  

Early in the second half, Felipe Teresa made a good run through the middle, drove the ball into the box, and was brought down. The referee, however, didn't award a penalty. In the 18th minute, Halerrandrio scored again, giving Goiás the lead again: 3-2.

Flamengo responded immediately and narrowly missed scoring a third. Following a corner, Iago rose to head the ball, but it hit the post. In the 38th minute, Goiás extended their lead and scored a fourth goal through Moroni: 4-2. The match ended in Serrinha with a defeat for the red-and-blacks.

To advance to the next stage, the Ninho Boys need to win by three goals. If they win by two, the match goes to penalties.

Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Wednesday (23) to face Goiás again, at 17:30 pm, at Raulino de Oliveira, for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil Sub-20.
