Flamengo loses to Grêmio in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship

On Thursday night (3), Flamengo hosted Grêmio in Los Larios for the last round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. Even fighting for victory, the red-black team ended up defeated 2-1 and is out of the competition.

Flamengo took to the field with: Gabriel Batista; Kléber, Bernardo, Rafael, Moraes; Vinicius Souza, Jean Lucas; Lucas Silva, Luiz Henrique, Gabriel Silva; Lincoln.

In the opening half, Flamengo began looking for space and trying to create dangerous plays. However, Grêmio opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a goal from Biteco. With that, Grêmio pressed on, trying to equalize the score, but ran into the opposing defense.

In the final minutes of the first half, at 45', Lincoln took advantage of a mistake by goalkeeper Felipe and, with coolness and opportunism, put the ball in the back of the net and made it all equal in Los Larios.

Flamengo returned from the break trying to hold off Grêmio's attacks. However, the Rio Grande do Sul team pressured Mengo's defenders and scored the second goal through Jadson in the 14th minute. Constantly pushing forward, the "Garotos do Ninho" were unable to overturn the deficit, losing 2-1.
