Flamengo's U-16 team took to the field on Wednesday morning (28), in Hungary, knowing that only victory was enough against Sporting (POR), in the last round of the group stage of the Puskás Suzuki-Kupa U-17, in Hungary. The Garotos do Ninho created good opportunities to open the scoring in the first half, but conceded goals from Rodrigo Ribeiro and Luis Gomes. In the second half, Mais Querido had more chances to score, with Paulo Roberto, Lauan and Euder, but left the field defeated 2-0, a score that left Rubro-Negro out of the final and the fight for the competition's second championship, since Mengão was champion in the 2019 edition.

Flamengo still has one game to play on Hungarian soil on Friday (30), when it will determine its final position in the competition. The opponent and the match time will be defined after Thursday's games.
