Flamengo was defeated by Zumbi-AL by 2 to 1, this Wednesday (8), in Mogi das Cruzes, in the second round of Group 23 of Copinha. Mais Querido is in second place in the group with three points, and, despite the defeat, only needs a draw, Saturday, against São Bernardo, to qualify.
The only goal for the red-and-black team was scored by an own goal after a great play by right-back Gusttavo. He lashed out at the opponent and crossed. The goalkeeper made no save, and defender João Gabriel scored an own goal. Gusttavo, in fact, was Mengão's standout performer in the match.
Flamengo, competing in the Copinha with a very young team, was overtaken. Juan, in the first half, and Cauã, in the second, scored the goals for the Alagoas team.
Mengão had a chance to tie the game late (in stoppage time), but Germano missed the penalty. He sent it over the goal.
The Most Beloved returns to the field on Saturday, at 21:45 pm, in Mogi das Cruzes, to face São Bernardo.
Zumbi-AL leads Group 23 of the Copinha with six points, Flamengo is second with three. São Bernardo and Cruzeiro-PB each have one point.
Mengão took to the field with: Caio Barone, Gusttavo, Pedro Lemos, Johnny and Germano; Luis Aucélio, Pedro Leão and Joshua; Bill and Felipe Lima. Coach: Raphael Bahia.
