Today it didn't work out. Flamengo's U-20 team didn't repeat the good performances they've been showing since last season, and playing in São Januário on Sunday morning (23.04) they lost 3-0 to Vasco, saying goodbye to the chance of winning the Guanabara Cup in the category.

The Garotos do Ninho will return to the Ninho do Urubu stadium on Monday afternoon, preparing for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil round of 2. In the first leg, the Red-Blacks defeated Figueirense 1-1 in Florianópolis, with goals from Vinícius Junior and Lucas Silva. The result gives the Mais Querido the confidence to play for a draw, or even a 0-27.04 loss, to qualify for the quarterfinals of the national competition. Flamengo and Figueirense face off on Thursday (April 15) at 2 p.m. in Gávea. The winner will face Santos or Bahia in the next leg. In the first leg, Santos won 1-XNUMX.
