Flamengo and Vitória will decide this Wednesday (02) who will advance to the final of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. After being defeated at Barradão by 6 to 1, the Garotos do Ninho will receive Leão at Raulino de Oliveira, at 18:30 pm.

To have a chance of reaching the grand final, Flamengo needs to win by five goals to take the match to penalties. With the best record in the championship through the first two stages, the Garotos do Ninho face their biggest challenge in the competition.   

"We worked hard, we pushed ourselves, we reminded them of the successful year in the competitions, and that the next game is the most important in each of our lives and, without a doubt, we will give our all in this game," highlighted coach Marcio Torres.

The Mais Querido's record against Vitória in knockout matches is favorable. In this year's Copa do Brasil, the teams faced each other in the second round. On that occasion, Mengão came out on top, securing qualification for the quarterfinals on penalties. After two draws, 1-1 at Barradão Stadium, with a goal from Wendel, and 2-2 at Gávea Stadium, with goals from Luiz Henrique and Dantas, Fla won the shootout 4-2.

There will be no tickets for the match, and admission to the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium will be free. The nation is welcome to support the Garotos do Ninho as they seek qualification for the Brasileirão U-20.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN Brasil and SporTV channels.

Palmeiras defeated Fluminense 2-0 in Los Larios in the competition's other semifinal. The matches will be home and away, including the grand final.
