In the third round of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship, Flamengo took the lead, but ended up losing to Botafogo 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon (19), in Gávea. Felipe Lima scored the only red-black goal in the classic.

The game
In the pouring rain, the Ninho Boys started the match looking to attack. In the eighth minute, Guilherme Gomes took a shot from the edge of the box, but the ball went over the goal. Luis Aucélio then attempted a shot from the edge of the box, forcing the goalkeeper to dive into the corner to make the save.

Soon after, in the 11th minute, Mengão opened the scoring in the classic! Felipe Lima took advantage of the rebound inside the six-yard box and bulged the net: 1-0. Trailing, Botafogo tried a few attacking plays, but the Rubro-Negro managed to fend off the danger and ended the first half in front.

In the 40th minute, Germano crossed into the box and David Viana headed it in as expected, but the goalkeeper made the save. The Mais Querido (Most Beloved) searched for the equalizer until the last minute, but ended up losing on their own turf.

The U-17 Ninho Boys return to the field next Tuesday (25) to face Corinthians, at 19 pm, in Luso-Brasileiro. The game is valid for the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship in the category.
