Flamengo is in the semifinals of the Carioca Sub-17. After winning 6-0 against Bangu in the first leg in Moça Bonita, the red-black team took the lead, but suffered a last-minute draw in the second match, played this Thursday (5), at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea. Striker Kaio scored for Fla, who secured their place with a 1-1 draw.

It is worth mentioning that Flamengo won 4-3 against Botafogo last Tuesday (3), at night, at the Luso Brasileiro Stadium, in the Brazilian Under-17 Championship. Less than 48 hours later, they returned to the field and perhaps that is why fatigue weighed on them. Even so, the Garotos do Ninho took the lead in the 40th minute of the first half, from a penalty.

Three minutes before the first goal for the red-and-black team, Gabriel Werneck had made a great save on a header. The pace remained slow in the second half, and Bangu eventually equalized in the dying minutes of regulation time.

Now, Flamengo awaits the definition of the match between Fluminense and Madureira to know the opponent in the semifinals. The team from Laranjeiras won 1-0 in the first match, away from home, at the Aniceto Moscoso Stadium. The return match is scheduled for next Saturday (7), at 11 am, at the Marcelo Vieira Stadium, in Xerém.
