Flamengo's U-14 team, led by coach Leonam Kasali, concluded its European tour this weekend, competing in two stages of the IberCup, a traditional and important international competition. The "Garotos do Ninho" reached the finals in both tournaments, showcasing the kind of football played by the elite.

After winning the Madrid stage title in Spain, undefeated and scoring 28 goals in seven matches without conceding a single goal, Mengão traveled to Cascais, Portugal, determined to maintain the same level of performance. They debuted in the competition with a historic 18-0 thrashing of Doncaster in England. In the second round, they defeated Sintrense (POR) 6-0. In the final round of the group stage, the red-and-blacks won 2-0 against Belenenses of Portugal.

The Boys of the Nest advanced to the knockout stage as leaders of their group and continued their winning streak in the round of 8, defeating Varzim (POR) 0-12. In the quarterfinals, their opponent was Málaga (ESP). And just six minutes into the game, Flamengo finally conceded its first goal since stepping foot in Europe, in the 2th game. After a 2-4 draw in regulation time in a very tough match, the Mais Querido won 2-XNUMX on penalties and secured a spot in the semifinals.

Their opponent in the fight for a spot in the final was Deportivo La Coruña (ESP). Giving the Spanish team no chance, the "Garotos do Ninho" won 3-0, completely dominating the game, and qualified for another final without losing a single game.
