Undefeated since debut in Brazil-Japan Friendship Cup, Flamengo's children's football team maintained its unbeaten record by beating Nova Iguaçu on penalties in the Taça Rio in the category this Saturday (18.10). The game ended 1-1 in regular time, with a goal by Matheus Thuller.

Among the team's standouts is striker Lincoln, who performed well in the Friendship Cup. He and four other red-and-black players will be introduced to the Brazilian National Team this Monday (20.10/20): Defender Patrick da Silva, left-back Athirson, midfielder Leandro and forward Vinícius José will represent the Mais Querido team with the Brazilian jersey. The delegation will be based at the training center from 25.10/XNUMX to XNUMX/XNUMX.

The under-20 team defeated São João da Barra 4-0 in a match at Gávea, in the Otávio Pinto Guimarães tournament, also on Saturday. On the same day, Nova Iguaçu defeated Flamengo under-17 1-0. 

On Sunday (19.10), the red-black under-13 team beat Bonsucesso 12-0. The game was valid for the Metropolitano of the category. The under-14 team beat the same opponent 2-0.
