Important victory for the U-15 Ninho Boys. Playing this Saturday at the Aniceto Moscoso stadium on Conselheiro Galvão Street, Flamengo opened up an advantage in the first leg of the Rio de Janeiro State Championship quarterfinals, beating Madureira 1-0, with a goal from striker Pauaca. 

With the result, the team led by coach Vinicius Durante will have the advantage of playing for a draw in the return match, scheduled for next Thursday (2), at 15 pm, in Gávea. 

The game

In a very busy first half, the red-blacks were only unable to score due to two miracles performed by the opposing goalkeeper with two headers, in the 25th and 40th minutes.

But the chances began early. In the second minute, Ryan Pablo nearly opened the scoring after a beautiful pass from Ryan Roberto. In the 12th minute, it was Davi Waisman's turn to hit a dangerous shot from the edge of the box. And it didn't stop there. In the 14th and 16th minutes, Gabriel Amancio and Ryan Pablo had other good chances. 

Diego and Victor Hugo's second-half introductions continued to provide the Mais Querido with good activity. Two one-twos between them created excellent scoring chances. In the 32nd minute, Ryan Roberto's shot from outside the box put the keeper at risk. 

Just when everything seemed headed for a scoreless draw, striker Pauaca, who also came on in the second half, scored the winning goal for Mengão. In a play initiated by Amâncio on the left flank, the full-back sent a low cross that Victor Hugo flicked past the goalkeeper, and Pauaca tapped the rebound into the back of the net.
