In a thrilling match, Flamengo's under-15 team defeated Nova Iguaçu and reached the final of the Guanabara Cup in that category with a score of 4-3. The team started with a lead, but saw their opponents come back to win 2-1. After Flamengo came back and conceded an equalizer, Vinícius scored the winning goal in the 35th minute of the second half. The team's next opponent is Vasco on Sunday (July 05.07th) at São Januário. 

"Vasco is a team with a 100 percent record and will be playing at home. But Flamengo also improved in the final stretch and played very well today. We're going there confident that we're in a very good moment, that we have a strong attack and that we'll play the game even at our opponent's home ground, but with great caution, of course. We'll go after the title there," analyzed coach Dudu Patettucci. After the Guanabara Cup, the team heads to the interior of São Paulo, where they will compete in the Laranjal Cup.

The under-17 team has been eliminated from the Guanabara Cup. The team lost to Fluminense 1-0 this Wednesday (01.07).
