With a perfect 100% record in four games, the Garotos do Ninho U-16 team is in the final of the 2021 Gramado Cup. They secured their place on Friday afternoon (October 01.10st) in a match against Internacional held at the Vila Olímpica in Gramado. For the second time in the tournament, Flamengo defeated the team from Rio Grande do Sul, this time 3-1 (David Gondim, Bill and Lorran), and reached the final with the best record among the six teams. Their opponent in the final will be Palmeiras, who defeated Juventude on penalties. The game is scheduled for this Saturday (October 02.10nd) at 10 am. The Boys of the Nest started the game putting intense pressure on their opponents and opened the scoring after just three minutes. Euder took a corner kick, goalkeeper Diego Esser missed, and David Gondim fired a first-time shot to put Mengão ahead. In the fifth minute, Jonathan received the ball unmarked on the penalty spot and fired a low shot. This time, the Colorado goalkeeper made a fine save, denying Flamengo their second goal in the semifinal. Flamengo were the much better team and extended their lead in the 20th minute when Euder delivered a beautiful pass to Bill, who crossed the ball and scored Mengão's second goal of the game.

Flamengo was the only one. In the 23rd minute, Bill faced his marker and fired a powerful shot over Diego Esser's crossbar. A minute later, Adriel crossed for Jonathan, who fired a first-time shot, only to see the goalkeeper from Rio Grande do Sul make another great save. 

Flamengo continued to play better in the second half. In the fifth minute, Euder nearly scored the third, but his shot was blocked at the penalty spot. In the ninth minute, Jonathan crossed the ball, and Diego Esser parried it away. In the 16th minute, Lorran, who had just come on for Adriel, shot wide one-on-one with the goalkeeper. 

The Gaucho team's first shot on target came 20 minutes into the second half, with a dangerous header from Breno. Flamengo goalkeeper Lucas Furtado was alert and made a fine save, palming the ball out for a corner. In the 25th minute, the Gauchos reduced the deficit with a goal from Vitor. In the 33rd minute, Flamengo returned to the attack and nearly killed the game with a cross-shot from Riquelmy. The ball hit Diego Esser's left post. In stoppage time, Lorran headed in a rebound from Riquelmy's shot, putting the ball in the back of the net, securing Mengão's place in the 2021 Copa Gramado final.
