In a very balanced match played on Friday morning (3) in Budapest, Hungary, Flamengo's U-17 team, led by coach Leo Ramos, drew 1-1 (Jonathan) with Dinamo Kiev, from Ukraine. The result keeps the Garotos do Ninho in the isolated lead of Group B of the Puskás Cup, now with four points won in two games. A victory in this Saturday's match (4), at 7:15 am against Sporting (POR) could qualify Mais Querido for the grand final of the tournament. Champion in 2019, Mengão fights for the second title of the international competition.
Fla takes the lead, but concedes the draw
The "Mais Querido" took the field to face the Ukrainians knowing that a victory would secure a spot in the final, and they went all out from the start. Still in the first half, in the 25th minute, Lorran left Jonathan one-on-one with the goal. With great coolness and composure, the striker slotted the ball into the left corner of goalkeeper Yurii Avramenko's net, scoring his second goal of the tournament and opening the scoring for Flamengo.
Early in the second half, two minutes in, Dmytrii Kremchanin scored a penalty. Goalkeeper João Lucas was well placed to stop the ball and narrowly missed the save. The rest of the match was evenly matched, with good scoring chances for both sides. But neither team managed to score again.
Flamengo: João Lucas, Felipe Vieira, Victor, Carbone, Eduardo Gabriel; Daniel, Euder, Lorran; Bill, Adriel and Jonathan. Coach: Leo Ramos.
