Flamengo's U-17 team has written another beautiful chapter in what has been a historic year. The "Garotos do Ninho" secured their spot in the final of the Brazilian Cup in their 27th match of the season, a period in which the boys scored an incredible 88 goals. An average of over three goals per game. 

The opponent this time was Palmeiras, on Wednesday afternoon (13), at Allianz Parque, for the second leg of the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil Sub-17. The Paulista team had not yet conceded a goal at home in the competition, but all the red-black offensive power was on display once again. Flamengo won 5x3 and now awaits the opponent of the grand final between São Paulo and Atlético-MG.

Flamengo didn't rest on its laurels and began the match looking to attack, but Palmeiras had the first chance of the game. In the first minute, Jota fired a dangerous shot from outside the box, forcing Dyogo to make a fine save. At the conclusion of the play, the referee flagged the Palmeiras attack for offside. Soon after, in the third minute, Flamengo opened the scoring. Running down the right, Matheus Gonçalves found Victor Hugo at the edge of the box. Mengão's top scorer controlled the ball, beat the defender, and shot with his left foot. The ball deflected off the Palmeiras defense before finding the back of the net. 

The Boys from the Nest didn't stop there. In the eighth minute, Matheus França, who had scored an incredible four goals in the first leg, received the ball on the left, cut inside, and finished masterfully for his fifth goal of the semifinal. Just when the game seemed to be cooling down, in the 16th minute, Palmeiras advanced through the middle of Flamengo's box, and Endrick shot into the corner, leaving Dyogo no chance, reducing the score to 2-1.

In the 41st minute, all the defensive discipline paid off. In a quick counterattack down the left, Petterson received a beautiful pass and crossed to Matheus Gonçalves, who appeared at the far post to score the third. Later in the first half, Palmeiras pulled one back with a long-range shot from Jota. With the partial aggregate result, Flamengo went into halftime with a 10-5 lead.

Flamengo didn't slow down in the second half. Victor Hugo received the ball in the box in the first minute, but was blocked as he was about to shoot. In the 10th minute, from a corner kick on the left, Victor Hugo took advantage of a deflection from the defense and headed the ball into the back of the net. The Mengão top scorer's second goal of the match and his 23rd of the season: 4-2.

Then, after a through ball, the Palmeiras goalkeeper missed, and Matheus França, with all his skill, scored another stunning goal. Amazingly, it was his second goal of the game and his sixth of the match. That's right: Matheus França scored six times in two games and made it 5-2. While Palmeiras was trying to control the action, in the 22nd minute, Dyogo came out well from his goal to block Jota's shot. On the counterattack, Petterson received a good ball at the edge of the box and shot over the bar. Almost another goal for Mengão.

In the closing stages of the match, Palmeiras reduced the deficit with Allan's cross from inside the box, making it 5-3. Flamengo continued to push forward in the closing stages, but the score remained the same. Palmeiras is in the final of the U-17 Brazil Cup and now awaits the winner of the other semifinal, between São Paulo and Atlético Mineiro.
