In the second game of the day, Flamengo Sub-17 had a great performance and thrashed Bangu 5-0 on Thursday morning (4), at Estádio Luso Brasileiro, in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Carioca Championship in the category. Mengão's goals were scored by Petterson (2), Victor Hugo, Zé Welinton and Vinícius. With the result, Mais Querido qualified for the semi-finals of the State Championship.

The game
Flamengo started the match dominating the attacking half, with a high volume of play. And it didn't take long for Mengão to open the scoring! Victor Hugo made a good run down the right and crossed into the box. Petterson took it first time and the ball rolled gently into the left corner of the goal: 1-0.

Despite having the lead, the Flamengo youth team continued to create attacking opportunities. In the 19th minute, Petterson made a good play on the left side of the area, cut past the defender and crossed. Victor Hugo headed the ball, but it went wide. Trailing, Bangu needed to push forward more and managed to put together some attacking plays.

In the 31st minute, Flamengo scored their second goal! Petterson, positioned wide on the left, delivered a low cross into the box, and Victor Hugo simply tapped it into the back of the net: 2-0. The Rubro-Negro went into halftime with a comfortable lead.

Just two minutes into the second half, the Flamengo youth team scored their third! Zé Welinton dribbled through the middle, entered the box, and, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, simply chose his spot to score a fantastic goal: 3-0. Immediately afterwards, Flamengo scored again. Victor Hugo crossed to Petterson, who stretched his foot and pushed the ball into the empty net: 4-0.

At 20 minutes, Vinícius pressured Bangu's defense, got the ball and shot across goal, but it went wide to the right of the goalkeeper. In the final stretch, Dyogo made an excellent save after a Bangu counter-attack. In the last minute of the match, Matheus Gonçalves came down the right and shot towards goal. On the rebound, Vinícius took advantage and scored Flamengo's fifth goal: 5-0.

Dominant from start to finish, the Flamengo youth team delivered a strong collective performance and qualified for the semifinals of the competition. Now, the team awaits its opponent in the next phase, which will be determined by the match between Vasco and Botafogo.
