Facing Budapest Honvéd (HUN), their home team, the Mais Querido won 2-0 (Jonathan and Lorran), securing their first three points in Group B of the tournament. The Rubro-Negro returns to the field tomorrow at 10:45 am (Brasília time) to face Dynamo Kyiv of Ukraine. On Saturday at 7:15 am, Mengão concludes its participation in the first phase against Sporting of Portugal. Group A consists of Real Madrid (ESP), Panathinaikos (GRE), Puskás Akadémia (HUN), and FC DAC 1904 of Slovakia.

The game

Flamengo had already created good opportunities when they opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the first half. In a play built on the right side of the Flamengo attack, Lorran delivered a beautiful pass to Jonathan, who beat his marker with speed and skillfully tapped it past Hungarian goalkeeper Moinár Mátyás to score the first goal for Flamengo in Hungary.

The red-and-blacks' superiority continued into the second half, and the Ninho Boys extended their lead in the 13th minute with a goal from top scorer Lorran, who beat Adriel's cross inside the box.
