Flamengo U-20 is defeated by Corinthians and ends its participation in the Brazilian Championship
The Ninho Boys lost 1-0 and now focus on the Copa do Brasil.

In a match played on Sunday afternoon (04) in Gávea, Flamengo's U-20 team pressed hard, but left the field defeated 1-0 by Corinthians in the second leg of the Brazilian Championship semi-final, and ended their participation in this year's edition with an adverse aggregate score of 2-0. The Garotos do Ninho are now focusing on preparing for the Copa do Brasil, which will begin in October.
The game
At 17 minutes, Werton unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box, deflecting off the defense and hitting the crossbar. Flamengo continued its search for the first goal and threatened again in the 37th minute, with a shot from Petterson that sailed just wide of Corinthians' left post. The red-and-blacks' best chance came in the 44th minute. Pedro Arthur took a free kick into the box, Cleiton headed it, and goalkeeper Kauê made a great save with his feet.
The pressure from "Mais Querido" continued in the second half. In the ninth minute, Mateusão hit a cross-shot, but Kauê made another save. In the 31st minute, Werton was brought down in the box. Mateusão fired over the bar. In the 44th minute, Pedro scored Corinthians' goal, ending the red-and-black team's participation in the competition.
