Flamengo U-20 embarks on the Brazilian Championship
The Gaucho Federation competition will be held in Porto Alegre; the debut will be against Palmeiras this Friday.

After a morning training session at the Gávea clubhouse, Flamengo's under-20 soccer team heads to the Brazilian Championship in Porto Alegre. The boys will arrive for the Gaucho Federation competition this Thursday (December 04.12). On Friday (December 05.12), Zé Ricardo's team debuts against Palmeiras at 19 p.m. in Novo Hamburgo, with coverage on Sportv.
Flamengo is in Group D, alongside Atlético-PR, Vitória, Figueirense, and Alviverde from São Paulo. The teams play each other in a single round, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the next round, the quarterfinals. The competition continues until December 21st. In the second round, the Mais Querido's opponent will be Atlético-PR, on Sunday (December 07.12th) at 20 pm.
The Juniors squad will be fully qualified for the competition, with only Douglas Baggio out due to injury. The team is preparing for the São Paulo Cup, which begins on January 03rd.
