Still undefeated in the 2022 season, Flamengo's Under-20 team, led by coach Fabio Matias, went to the Moça Bonita Stadium on the hot morning of this Saturday (23) to face Bangu, in a match valid for the fifth round of the Guanabara Cup in the category. And they left the field in the same way they had entered: undefeated and in the isolated leadership of the competition, after the eventful 2-2 draw (Victor Hugo and own goal). In the next round, Mengão hosts Vasco, in Gávea. The classic will be on Saturday (30), at 10 am, in Gávea, with live broadcast on FlaTV.

In Bangu, Flamengo started better, putting pressure on their opponents and creating good scoring opportunities. In the tenth minute, André received the ball on the right wing, burst into the box, and shot from outside the net. In the 32nd minute, Victor Hugo made a great individual play and passed it to Mateusão, who fired it over goalkeeper Gabriel Barboza's crossbar. In the 36th minute, Victor Hugo received the ball at the edge of the box and shot wide. But in the 41st minute, there was no way out. Santiago made a good play from the baseline and passed it to Victor Hugo. The 17 U-2021 top scorer struck a powerful shot, leaving the opposing goalkeeper with no chance of saving it.

The home team came out more attacking in the second half and managed to turn the game around with goals from Davi Gomes in the seventh minute and Roger in the 21st. But the Rubro-Negro were the better team and created opportunities, especially after good runs from Matheus Gonçalves and Kauan Diego. However, Mengão only managed to equalize in stoppage time, in the 47th minute, when Petterson made a great individual play and attempted a cross for Ryan Luka. The defense tried to clear the ball and ended up kicking it into their own net.

Flamengo: Kauã, Santiago (Kauan Diego), Diego, Cleiton, Zé Wellinton (Richard); Jean Carlos, Pedro Arthur (André Junior), Victor Hugo (Kayke David); Petterson, André and Mateusão (Ryan Luka). Coach: Fabio Matias.
