Flamengo U-20 defeats Fortaleza and ends the first phase with the best overall campaign in the Brasileirão
Diego and André Luiz scored in a 2-1 victory. The Ninho Boys will face Internacional in the quarterfinals.

Another victory! In a match held on Sunday afternoon (7) at CT Ribamar Bezerra, Flamengo's U-20 team, led by coach Mario Jorge, beat Fortaleza 2-1 (Diego and André Luiz), a score that guaranteed the Garotos do Ninho the leadership of Group A and the best overall campaign in the Brazilian Championship, with 20 points won. The red-black campaign was six wins, two draws and only one loss. The Mais Querido's opponent in the quarterfinals of the Brasileirão will be Internacional.
The game
Just three minutes in, with their first shot of the game, Mengão opened the scoring with a beautiful header from Diego, following a perfect cross from Pedro Arthur. Five minutes in, Lucas Kallyel took a free kick into the corner, and Rubro-Negro goalkeeper Kauã Morais made a great save. In a quick counterattack in the 25th minute, Mateusão hit a cross, and Werton narrowly missed reaching the ball to extend the lead. In stoppage time, in the 46th minute, Fortaleza equalized through Breno Marques.
Flamengo returned for the second half determined to win the match and finish the group stage with the best record of the competition. In the fourth minute, Werton made a beautiful individual play and shot across goal. Fortaleza's defense cleared it on the line.
