Flamengo's U-20 team defeated Palmeiras in the U-20 Brazilian Championship, moving up to third place in the Brazilian Championship. Dominating the match at Gávea, the team scored three goals but conceded one late in the match. Léo Duarte, Douglas Baggio, and Paquetá all scored.

"Gavea is our home, we know how to play well here," center forward Douglas Baggio revealed as he left the field. The team started under pressure from the opponent, who had good chances in the opening minutes. But the red-and-black defense made good saves, and the team gradually took control of the match after finishing the first half in a scoreless draw.

Léo Duarte opened the scoring after a corner kick from Cafu. Just a minute later, Baggio, opportunistically, pounced on a rebound in the box and converted the second. Paquetá scored the third, taking advantage of a Matheus Sávio pass. In the 25th and 35th minutes, Matheus Sávio had chances to extend the lead, but in the 45th, Palmeiras scored and sealed the victory.
