Flamengo reaches the quarterfinals of the BH Cup
Under-17 team eliminates Grêmio in the round of 16 with a 2-1 victory

Last Sunday (July 19.07), Flamengo's under-17 soccer team beat Grêmio in the BH Cup. With a 2-1 victory, the Mais Querido eliminated Tricolor Gaúcho and qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition. The match was held at the Sport Stadium, in Juíz de Fora, Minas Gerais.
In the first half, Pepê opened the scoring for Flamengo, but shortly after, Grêmio tied the match at 1-1. In the second half, the game remained evenly balanced, but Lucas Silva scored to avoid a penalty shootout and guarantee the Rubro-Negro's qualification.
Flamengo's opponent will come from the match between Cruzeiro and Atlético-PR, which takes place this Monday (20.07), in Sete Lagoas. The Minas Gerais Football Federation has not yet announced the time and location of the match, which will be on Thursday (23.07).
