On a night of tributes, when Flamengo players entered the field with personalized shirts of former coach Zagallo (n°13) and masseur Deni (n°42 - years of work at the club, who passed away in the first years of January, the Garotos do Ninho won this Monday, São Bento-SP, in Osaco by 2 to 1, in the second round of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup.

With the result, the team led by coach Mário Jorge is classified in advance for the second phase. Mengão will return to the field next Thursday (11), at 17:30 pm, to face the home team Audax-SP. 

The game 

Flamengo dominated the first half. From the opening minutes, the red-and-black youth showed what they were made of. In a move that began with a beautiful pass from Diegão, left-back Zé Welinton crossed, and Pedro Estevam nearly scored. But in the seventh minute, there was no way out. After a superb pass from Petterson, Werton received the ball inside the box and, with a first-time pass, set up Lorran to score. In celebration, the red-and-black legend paid tribute to defender Darlan (who suffered a serious injury in his debut and returned to Rio) by holding a number 7 Sacred Mantle. 

At 18, Rayan Lucas launched a pass from the right to Daniel Sales, who hit the crossbar with a low shot. The Mais Querido's second goal came in the 33rd minute. In jPetterson's great move on the left, he exchanged passes with Pedro Estevam. The attacking midfielder rolled the ball low for Werton to make it 2-0. This was the number 7's second goal in the competition.

With a healthy lead, Flamengo returned for the second half with a more measured approach. The best opportunity fell to Zé Welinton (who was celebrating his birthday that day), with a beautiful free kick that bounced off the post.
