Surrounded by expectations with the return of right-back Wesley, midfielders Igor Jesus, Victor Hugo (who hadn't played since January due to injury), and Matheus Gonçalves, as well as forward Mateusão, all of whom were selected for the senior squad, Flamengo started the match overwhelmingly.
