Flamengo's under-15 team is heading to another final. The boys faced Corinthians, also undefeated in the Copa Brasil, and won 2-0, with goals from Lincoln and Vinicius, the competition's top scorer with six goals. Following this result, Flamengo will face Grêmio for the title on Sunday (January 25.01) at 10 am at the Domênico Paolo Mettidieri stadium in Votorantim. A draw in normal time will send the match to a penalty shootout. "Mais Querido," which boasts the best attack in the competition, is seeking its first title against the two-time defending champion Tricolor Gaúcho.

The game
On the field wet from the heavy rain, Flamengo pressured Corinthians and had broad control of the match until, in the 20th minute, after a good play by Vinicius, striker Lincoln received the ball free at the edge of the area and shot over Corinthians goalkeeper Maltos, opening the score for Rubro-Negro: 1-0. After conceding the goal, Corinthians came out to the game looking for an equalizer, but the Flamengo boys remained in front on the scoreboard.

In the second half, the rain stopped, but the pace of the match also slowed. Rubro-Negro began to rely on counterattacks, and in the 14th minute, Vinicius received a pass, burst into the box, and fired a cross past goalkeeper Maltos.

The boys were already coming off a penalty shootout victory in the quarterfinals last Tuesday (20.01), when Flamengo beat São Paulo 4-1, after a 1-1 draw in regular time. Flamengo's great hero was goalkeeper Victor Hugo, who saved two shots.
