Flamengo wins in three different categories this Wednesday (10)
The U-15 and U-17 teams win the Copa Rio. The U-16 team wins for Guilherme Embry.
By Communication - inThe Garotos do Ninho took to the field to compete in three categories this Wednesday (10) and won them all. In the Guilherme Embry Tournament, Flamengo's under-16 team beat Audax Rio 3-1 at CT das Vargens in Vargem Pequena. In the under-15 and under-17 categories, they won 7-0 and 6-0, respectively, in matches against Friburguense at CT da Saferj in Guaratiba.
The U-16 team, under Diogo Calhau's leadership, dominated the match against Audax Rio for virtually the entire half. The first goal came in the 23rd minute, scored by Júlio, following a pass from João Henrique. Andrade entered the fray a minute later and scored the second, taking advantage of a Bernardo assist. The opponent pulled one back in the 28th minute, but Mengão secured the victory in the 19th minute, courtesy of Bernardo.
Next up, it was the U-17 team's turn to compete in the fifth round of the Copa Rio against Friburguense. The Rubro-Negro team showed great inspiration, especially in the first half. Four goals were scored in the first half, scored twice by Emanuel, João Vitor, and Rogério. Gabriel Amancio and Rafinha rounded off the scoring for coach Daniel Franklin's team after the break.
The day's finale was won by the U-15 team, who defeated Friburguense 7-0 for their fourth victory in the Copa Rio. João Marcos Fernandes' team was already leading 3-0 in the 24th minute of the first half, with goals from Guilherme Abel and Marcelo Portela, both goals. Samuel Júlio doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 10th minute. Willian Félix added the fifth two minutes later. In the 23rd minute, Paulo Cezar scored the sixth goal. Willian Félix scored Flamengo's seventh and final goal in the 33rd minute.
