Flamengo defeats Figueirense and secures a place in the BH Cup final

Flamengo's under-17 team faced Figueirense on Monday night (27.07) in the semi-final of the BH Junior Football Cup and the Juvenile athletes not only secured the victory, but also a place in the final of the competition. Rubro-Negro beat their opponent 3-0, at the Joaquim Henrique Nogueira stadium, the "Arena do Jacaré", in Sete Lagoas.
After a scoreless first half, Flamengo opened the scoring eight minutes into the second half with number 10 Pepê, after a passing game in the penalty area and a beautiful pass from midfielder Patrick. The midfielder once again served as a waiter in the 35th minute, passing the ball to captain Hugo to extend the lead. Number 2 Klebinho sealed the lead in the 42th minute, scoring Flamengo's third and final goal of the match. Check out the goals:

Flamengo now faces Corinthians in the Taça BH final this Wednesday (July 29.07). The venue for the match is yet to be determined.

The red-and-black U-16 team also emerged victorious in its last match. In the Guilherme Embry Tournament for the category, Flamengo defeated Vasco in the final round of the first phase, 3-1. The Mais Querido's next challenge in the competition is on August XNUMXth, against Rio das Pedras.
