In the sixth round of the Brasileirão Sub-17, Flamengo beat Internacional 3-1 on Wednesday night (9), at Raulino de Oliveira, in Volta Redonda. Luis Aucélio, Menegatti and David Viana scored the goals in the red-black triumph. With the result, the Garotos do Ninho added 10 points and took fourth place in Group A of the national competition.

The game
The match began with a fierce battle for possession. Both teams sought to maintain possession in the attacking half. The Ninho Boys first threatened in the seventh minute. David Viana received the ball unmarked at the edge of the box and fired a shot. The goalkeeper palmed it away, and the ball hit the crossbar.

In the 16th minute, it was Inter's turn to reach the red-and-black box and force goalkeeper Caio Barone into a great save. The first half was heavily defended and saw few clear-cut chances, ending with the score at zero.

Early in the second half, Mengão opened the scoring in Volta Redonda. Luis Aucélio capitalized on a defensive error by Inter, stealing the ball at the edge of the box and firing it into the corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 1-0.  

In the 14th minute, Internacional equalized. After a rebound in the box, Gabriel Carvalho capitalized on the rebound to make it 1-1. Internacional tried to react quickly. David Viana was brought down in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. The number 9 himself stepped up to take the shot, but the goalkeeper jumped in the corner and made the save.

Mengão persisted and the second goal came in the 33rd minute. Lucyan received the ball in the box and shot across goal, the goalkeeper rebounded and Menegatti, in the right place, only had to push it into the net: 2-1.

The Ninho Boys then doubled their lead. Lucyan made an individual play and was brought down in the box. Another penalty for Mengão! David Viana showed his personality and, this time, struck a powerful shot into the corner, beating the Colorado goalkeeper to seal the victory for the red-and-blacks at Raulino de Oliveira Stadium: 3-1. 

Next appointment
The U-17 Ninho Boys return to the field next Wednesday (16) to face RB Bragantino, at 15 pm, at CT RB Brasil, for the seventh round of Group A of the Brasileirão in the category.
