A winning debut for the Garotos do Ninho U-20 team in the Campeonato Carioca/Taça Guanabara. Playing away from home in the sweltering heat of the Rua Conselheiro Galvão stadium, Flamengo came from behind to defeat Madureira 2-1. Victor Silva and Felipe Teresa scored for the red-and-blacks in the first half.

With a team made up mostly of players with less playing time, Mais Querido got a scare right at the beginning of the game, with a goal from the opponent. 

After the timeout, Mário Jorge's men turned the game around and took the lead in the first half. In the 30th minute, Victor Silva, in a great play from the edge of the box, scored a beautiful goal, shooting into the goalkeeper's left corner. Ten minutes later, Flamengo turned the game around. After a free kick from the right flank by Guilherme, the ball bounced back into the box for Felipe Teresa to fire home.

In the second half, Mais Querido knew how to control the result with the six substitutions that the regulations allow and emerged victorious.
