In the fifth round of the Guanabara U-15 Cup, Flamengo beat Bangu 1-0 on Saturday morning (11), at CEFAN. Mengão's only goal in the game was scored by Lorran. With the victory, Mais Querido remains with 100% success and leads the competition with 15 points won.

The game
The Ninho Boys started the match looking to attack and exchanging passes in Bangu's midfield. Three minutes in, Victor pounced on a rebound from outside the box and fired a powerful shot. The ball sailed just wide of the post.

Flamengo continued to pressure their opponents. In the 11th minute, Luis Guilherme unleashed a rocket from outside the box, but the ball barely missed going in. In the 29th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Bangu's defense misplayed the ball; Lorran stole the ball at the edge of the box and slotted it into the back of the net: 1-0. Superior throughout the first half, Mengão went into halftime with the lead.

In the second half, Flamengo continued to pressure Bangu in search of a second goal. The "Garotos do Ninho" (Nest Boys) passed the ball around from foot to foot, looking for a gap in the opposing defense, which was positioned deep. Dominant throughout the match, Flamengo secured another victory, their fifth consecutive in the championship.

Next appointment
Mengão's U-15s return to the field next Friday (17) to face Botafogo, at 15 pm, at CEFAT, for the sixth round of the Taça Guanabara.
