In search of a third championship! Flamengo U-17 defeated Ceará 3-2 this Wednesday (13) and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Brasileirão in the category. Germano and Douglas Telles scored in the first half, and Guilherme Gomes confirmed the victory away from home, in Itaitinga. The result marked the 10th game without losing in the category, and the team finished the classification phase in second place in the table with 17 points.

The Ninho Boys were given a scare early in the match, with the home team opening the scoring through Lucas Fernandes. However, this didn't faze the red-and-black team, who kept the ball on the ground and fought back.

First, Germano pounced on the loose ball and took a shot from outside the box, tying the score in the 11th minute. And at the end of the first half, in the 44th minute, a beautiful collective move resulted in the second. The play started on the right and was passed from foot to foot until Germano found Bill deep, who, with his first touch, found Douglas Telles free to turn the ball in.

After the break, there was another scare when Melk equalized with an aerial play. But soon after, Mengão scored the third. Guilherme Gomes made a beautiful individual play, tried to pass the ball to the middle of the box, the defense cleared it, and the number 10 himself put it into the net.

With the results of the round, Flamengo finished second in Group A with the following record: 5 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses, 18 goals scored, and 8 conceded.
