The game
Early in the derby, Flamengo was awarded a penalty. Rafael Tenório was brought down in the box, and the referee pointed to the spot. João Vitor stepped up to take the penalty and opened the scoring at Gávea: 1-0.
Five minutes later, Mengão extended their lead! João Vitor was released at speed down the left, stopped, and passed to Luiz Guilherme, who shot from the edge of the box. The ball hit the post before going into the net: 2-0.
Fluminense reduced the deficit in the 26th minute with Riquelmy, who received the ball in the six-yard box and finished for the goal: 2-1. After the goal, the tricolor team grew in the game and began to attack more frequently.
In the final minutes of the first half, Gabriel Santos took a shot from outside the box, but the ball went just wide of Werneck's left post. The Boys from the Nest went into halftime with a partial lead.
In the second half, the match remained evenly balanced, with Mengão scoring the third goal in the 18th minute. João Vitor hit the ball into the corner, the goalkeeper palmed it away and, on the rebound, Luiz Guilherme pushed it into the net: 3-1.
With a more comfortable lead, the Garotos do Ninho managed the result and left the field with the victory in the classic, winning the Taça Guanabara Sub-15 title with a round to spare.
