Mengão's opponent in the final is yet to be defined. With the result, Flamengo also secured a spot in the category's Copa do Brasil in 2024!
The game
In a first half where the ball literally refused to go in for the red-and-black side, Petterson and Igor Jesus (a new addition to the team today) hit the post with their shots. In the 46th minute, Petterson took a free kick from the edge of the six-yard box, defender Diegão headed the ball against the crossbar, and Mateusão, with a backheel, tapped it into the back of the net.
