Flamengo is in the semifinals of the Guanabara Under-20 Cup. Playing this Saturday at Gávea Stadium, the team led by Mário Jorge defeated Madureira 3-0 in the second leg of the competition's quarterfinals. On aggregate score: 8 to 1, for the Ninho Boys. The red-black goals were scored by Pedrinho at the end of the first half, with Mateusão ​​and Pedrinho, in the second.

Mengão's opponent in the next stage will be Fluminense. The first game will be played at the opponent's home ground, with the second at Gávea, with the red-and-black team having the advantage of playing for equal results (their better record in the qualifying stage).

The game

With a solid lead gained last Saturday, when they won 5-1, Flamengo began the match looking for space and trying to break through the opposing team's defensive block. Petterson, in the 21st minute, with a cross-shot, nearly opened the scoring. In the 32nd minute, it was Wallace Yan's turn to receive a good pass and nearly scored.
A minute later, in a set piece from the right, striker Pedrinho fired a free kick that grazed the goalkeeper's post. But in the 48th minute, there was no escape. A perfect triangulation began with left-back Zé Welinton passing to Jean. The midfielder cut in from the left and crossed at mid-height, for Pedrinho to finish with skill.

After the break, with two substitutions (Marcos Paulo and Mateusão ​​came on), Flamengo maintained control of the game.

In the fifth minute, Werton, in a superb individual play, passed to Mateusão ​​to score Mengão's second. With excellent pace, Flamengo nearly extended their lead with goals from Marcos Paulo and Wallace Yan.

In the 29th minute, Jean Carlos, with his second great assist, left Rodriguinho free to score the third after dribbling past the goalkeeper. Minutes later, the Mais Querido had the opportunity to score the fourth, a rocket from Victor Silva, which the goalkeeper saved.
