Flamengo's opponent in the next stage of the Copinha will be Botafogo de Ribeirão Preto-SP. The match will be held next Wednesday (17), at 19:15 pm, in Osasco.

In a closely watched match between the teams in the opening minutes, Flamengo had its first good opportunity in the 21st minute with a beautiful right-footed shot from Wallace Yan. Two minutes later, the same Wallace Yan made a brilliant play down the right flank and delivered a low cross that Daniel Rogério accurately delivered, opening the scoring. In the 32nd minute, Flamengo tied the match.

But Mengão took the lead again in the 39th minute. Midfielder Rodriguinho made an excellent cross into the penalty area, Wallace Yan headed it in for striker Welinton to complete. 

At 45, Wallace Yan was awarded a penalty. The striker's shot was saved by the goalkeeper.

The team returned for the second half looking to extend their lead. After a cross from the left, Iago nearly scored with a header in the 9th minute.

It didn't take long for the third goal to arrive. Felipe Teresa initiated the play, the forward passed to Welinton, who turned and fired a powerful shot from outside the box to make it 3-0. This was the number 44's fourth goal of the championship.
