On Saturday morning (20), Flamengo hosted Serrano, at CEFAN, for the seventh round of the Copa Rio Sub-15. Mengão won the match 4-3 and will have Fluminense as their opponent in the next round. João Vitor, Luiz Guilherme, Gabriel Santos and Hoyte (own goal) scored for #GarotosDoNinho's goals.

O JOGO

Mengão started the match going on the attack, but until 10 minutes into the first half the match was still very studied in the midfield.

In the 15th minute, Gabriel Santos delivered a beautiful pass to João Vitor, who shot toward the box and, in an individual move, shot to the left of the opposing goalkeeper. It was Flamengo's first significant chance of the match.

The Mais Querido opened the scoring five minutes later. João Vitor made a tackle on the left, burst into the box, and with a body dribble, beat the defender and slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Serrano tied the match in the next play. A ball was lifted into the red-and-black box, and the visiting team's forward headed the ball into the goal.

In the opening moments of the second half, Luís Guilherme, Mengão's number 9, pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area to equalize. This was the Flamengo striker's third goal of the competition.

In the 7th minute, Serrano's left back steals the ball in attack and equalizes for the team from Serra. Pedro Ferreira quickly takes a throw-in, finds Luiz Guilherme, who crosses, and the opposing defense scores the third for Flamengo.  

In a quick counterattack, Pedro Ferreira finds captain Gabriel Santos inside the box and the Garotos do Ninho's number 5 scores the fourth of the match.

At 33', in a play on the right wing, the ball is crossed and Pablinho reduces the score for Serrano: 4 to 3.
