Important victory for Flamengo in the Carioca Sub-17. Even playing on the opponent's ground, at the Marcelo Vieira Stadium, in Xerém, Rubro-Negro beat Fluminense 2-0, this Saturday (2), for the eighth round of the Taça Guanabara. João Vitor Couto and Anthony scored the goals.

After a balanced and goalless first half, Flamengo scored twice, securing their sixth victory in the tournament and overtaking their rival in the standings. João Vitor Couto opened the scoring in the 7th minute of the second half, taking advantage of a pass from Anthony. Anthony, who provided the assist for the first goal, sealed the victory in the 49th minute after receiving a pass from Lukaku.   

Mengão will have another classic in the Guanabara Cup sequence. Next Saturday (9), the opponent will be Botafogo, at 10 am, at Estádio José Bastos Padilha, for the ninth round.
