Flamengo pulled off a thrilling victory in the 12th round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. Even under pressure playing away from home, against Juventude, the red-black team put their heart into the game and reversed an adverse result after the opponent took the lead, at 30 minutes of the second half. After four games without a win in the competition, the Garotos do Ninho beat the team from Rio Grande do Sul 3-2, this Saturday (16), at the Homero Soldatelli Stadium, in the city of Flores da Cunha, in Rio Grande do Sul.

It was a story of overcoming adversity. Defender Da Mata scored the first goal of the match in the 19th minute. Juventude, however, turned the game around with a penalty goal in the 34th minute of the first half and another in the 30th minute of the second. With courage and character, the red-and-black team didn't give up and never considered the victory for a single second. Each goal was more than a step towards victory; it was a response from a group that doesn't give up.

The fighting spirit was fundamental in allowing Pablo to equalize the match with a penalty in the 36th minute, and Victor Hugo to score the winning goal four minutes later. With their hearts on their sleeves, the Flamengo youth team showed that the under-20 team never gives up, never abandoning the pursuit of results befitting the greatness of the club.

The Flamengo delegation returns to Rio de Janeiro this Sunday, with the focus on training and preparing for the next game. Next Thursday (21), Flamengo will face Santos at 21 pm, at Estádio Luso Brasileiro, on Ilha do Governador, in the North Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
