Qualified! The Boys of the Nest defeated São Bernardo 3-1 on Saturday night (11) at the Nogueirão stadium and are in the second phase of the Copinha. In the third round of Group 23, Felipe Lima and Bill (2) scored for the red-black team. Now, Mengão faces RB Bragantino in the next phase.

The game
Needing a draw to advance, Flamengo started the match looking to attack and opened the scoring just two minutes into the match. Germano passed to Pedro Leão on the left; the defender mis-cleared the ball, giving the ball to the Flamengo midfielder, who rolled it into the box for Felipe Lima to score for Mengão: 1-0.

Trailing, São Bernardo attacked well and forced Caio Barone into a good save in the 12th minute. The São Paulo team then scored through Sorriso, but the referee ruled it offside. Meanwhile, São Bernardo continued to push forward. In the 22nd minute, the opposing goalkeeper rebounded, and Felipe Lima took the rebound, firing home a first-time shot. The ball deflected off the defense and went out for a corner.

The standout player of the match so far, Pedro Leão took a beautiful shot from outside the box, forcing the goalkeeper to palm it away for a corner in the 29th minute. In the closing stages, São Bernardo pressed again, seeking an equalizer before halftime. The red-and-black team struggled to transition from defense to attack.

In stoppage time, the Ninho Boys narrowly missed extending their lead. Luis Aucélio received the ball at the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot. The ball hit the goalkeeper's left post and narrowly missed going in. After the play, the referee blew the final whistle for the first half.

In the second half, coach Raphael Bahia made three substitutions at once. Luis Aucélio, Pedro Leão, and Douglas Telles were replaced by Kaio Nóbrega, Fred, and Ryan Roberto, respectively. On the first play of the match, Kaio Nóbrega was unlucky enough to dislocate his shoulder and was replaced by Wanderson.

In the 20th minute, Wanderson led a counterattack and was fouled near the box. The number 13 himself took the shot, and the ball went just wide of the post. Four minutes later, Mengão doubled the lead! After a São Bernardo error in clearing the ball, Felipe Lima found a great pass for Bill, who was free, who beat the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

The Ninho Boys then scored their third. And again with the attacking duo! Felipe Lima was released on the right, leaving Bill one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The striker simply had to choose the corner and extend the lead: 3-0.

São Bernardo pulled one back in the 30th minute with Xing, who unleashed a shot from outside the box and was deflected by the red-black defense to deceive Caio Barone: 3-1. In the final minutes, the red-black team managed the result, leaving the field with the victory and qualification for the second phase of the Copinha.
