Flamengo traveled to Cotia, São Paulo, to face Tricolor Paulista and returns to Rio de Janeiro with another important victory and three points in the Brasileirão U-3 table. Lorran and Shola scored the goals for the Garotos do Ninho in the 20-2 victory.
São Paulo had the first big chance of the game in the third minute. Pedro Ferreira burst free, shot, and Lucas Furtado made a great save with his feet. Rayan Lucas responded with a rocket from outside the box, which went wide to the right, scaring the opposing goalkeeper.
The São Paulo team attacked again strongly in the 11th minute, with a shot just to the left of the post that was deflected by the defense. Flamengo revved up their momentum with two consecutive moves. In the first, Pedro Leão's shot grazed the goalkeeper's right post, following a good pass from Guilherme. Then, there was no way out: Lorran took advantage of Wanderson's cross from the right and struck powerfully past the defense to find the net in the 21st minute.
Five minutes later, however, São Paulo equalized with striker Paulinho. In the 30th minute, Lorran hit the crossbar, deflected by the defense, after receiving a good pass from Pedro Leão. Guilherme fired a powerful shot in the 35th minute, which the goalkeeper saved. Before the halftime whistle blew, Flamengo arrived well down the right flank. Wanderson crossed, and the goalkeeper was able to clear.
The pace slowed in the first few minutes after halftime. The opponent's first shot came only in the 13th minute. Soon after, Lorran struck, and the ball went wide on the left. Flamengo tried to exchange passes quickly, thus getting more forward, but without overly aggressive. São Paulo closed in, looking for counterattacks.
More present in the attacking field, Flamengo posed a lot of danger with Shola on the right and with a beautiful shot from Rayan Lucas, who took advantage of a pass from Fabiano, after a good play from Wanderson, in the 22nd minute. São Paulo responded with a shot from Paulinho, in the 25th minute. Shola put Flamengo in front again, in the 28th minute, showing great opportunism, after the ball rose and fell at his feet, which he controlled and hit hard.
São Paulo's attack forced Lucas Furtado to work in the 30th minute, with a header following the play. Before the end of the match, in the 44th minute, Shola burst in from the right and dribbled past the goalkeeper. The ball fell to Rafael Couto, who missed a great chance.
Flamengo's next match in the competition will be next Wednesday (21), against Juventude, at home, in the 11th round of the competition.
