In the second game this Saturday (11), played in Gávea, Flamengo beat Vasco 4-1, in the second leg of the semifinals of the Campeonato Carioca Sub-17. Fabrício (2), Guilherme and Bill scored. Despite the triumph, Rubro-Negro ended up being eliminated from the competition after being defeated by a score of 5-1, in the first leg.  

The game
At the start of the derby, Vasco opened the scoring after two minutes with a Lukas goal: 1-0. Flamengo leveled the score shortly after. Menegatti made a run down the right and crossed into the box. Fabrício got ahead of the goalkeeper and deflected the ball into the net: 1-1.

In the 26th minute, Guilherme was brought down in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. The number 10 took the kick and beat the goalkeeper to score the second goal for Flamengo: 2-1. The Boys from the Nest went into halftime with the advantage. It's worth remembering that Flamengo needs three more goals to advance, having lost the first leg 5-1.

Mengão extended their lead seven minutes into the second half. Menegatti stepped up to the baseline and delivered a perfect cross for Bill to head home with style, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 3-1. After the third goal, the red-and-black team went all out in search of two more to secure qualification.

In stoppage time, the red-and-black team managed to score the fourth! After a corner kick from the right, Fabrício headed the ball into the back of the net: 4-1. Despite the rout, the red-and-black team was one goal short of qualifying. With this result, the "Garotos do Ninho" bow out of the competition.
