On the morning of this Wednesday (17), Flamengo faced Volta Redonda, at Raulino de Oliveira, in the fifth round of the Taça Guanabara Sub-20 and won the match 3-1. Lorran scored all three goals in the game, with three assists from full-back Zé Welinton.
With this victory, Mais Querido achieved its fourth victory in the tournament and jumped to third place with 14 points. The Ninho Boys still have a game in hand in the competition.
O JOGO
The match started evenly in midfield, with both teams fighting for possession. In the 20th minute, Zé Welinton received a pass from Petersson on the byline, found a pass to the edge of the six-yard box, and Lorran shot into the corner of the Volta Redonda goalkeeper's net. A few minutes later, the play repeated itself: the full-back received the ball and crossed to the head of the number 10, who headed it just wide of the opposing goalkeeper's left post. A minute later, the Garotos do Ninho threatened again. Daniel Sales burst into the penalty area, shot, but was saved by a great save from Gabriel Freitas.
In a play worked on the right, Pedro makes a good combination with Esquerda, who finds a pass for Kauan to tie the match.
The second half began with both teams scrutinizing each other. As the match approached its final 15 minutes, Zé Welinton delivered another pass to Lorran, and the Gávea number 10 delivered a beautiful volley to break the tie: 2-1 for the Red-Blacks. And soon, another assist from the Mais Querido left-back resulted in another goal for Lorran, Flamengo's third and the number 10's third. The day's top scorer received a pass, controlled it with the toe of his boot, and fired in another goal.
