In a game valid for the group stage of the Guanabara Cup of the Carioca Sub-20, Flamengo Sub-18 was defeated by Madureira by 1 to 0 this Wednesday (23), in Conselheiro Galvão. It is worth remembering that, tomorrow, the Sub-20 team of Mais Querido will make its debut in the Brazilian Championship of the category, against Internacional, in Porto Alegre.

O JOGO
The first half was well-contested between the two teams, but was repeatedly stalled by excessive fouls from both sides. In the 19th minute, the Red-Blacks almost opened the scoring! Maycon took a free kick, and the ball went very close. The Mais Querido still had two chances to open the scoring, but the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the second half, the red-and-black team went on the attack looking to open the scoring. In the 10th minute, Ryan Luka made a good play and attempted a pass to Jhonata inside the box, but the Tricolor Suburbano defense cleared it. In the 17th minute, after a corner kick, Diego Ritter headed the ball and nearly scored for Flamengo. Following this, Madureira opened the scoring with Pedrão's penalty kick: 1-0. The Mais Querido still had a few opportunities to equalize the match, but the home team left the field with the victory.
