Flamengo traveled to Bahia to face Tricolor de Aço in a match valid for the 8th round of the Brazilian Championship and will return with three more points added to the standings. With goals from Ryan Roberto and Luiz Guilherme, Mengão reached 3 points in the competition.

The game started off competitively between the two teams, and the opening minutes were spent studying and fighting for the ball, mainly in midfield, without any major chances being created.

But in the ninth minute, in a well-rehearsed corner kick, Ryan Roberto exchanged passes with Jhefinho and, with little marking, fired a shot from outside the box past the opposing goalkeeper. It was Flamengo's first goal of the game.

Playing at home and having conceded a goal early in the game, Bahia had to come out and play and in the 19th minute, after recovering the ball in midfield, they scored their equalizer with number 7, Lyan.

Both teams continued to try to build plays, but their defenses prevailed. In the 40th minute, Bahia even managed to break through the red-and-black defense and score the second goal, but the referee disallowed the goal because Anthony, the tricolor's number 8, was in an offside position.

At the end of the first half, at 45, it was Flamengo who came close, with another shot from outside the area by Ryan Roberto, which went wide.

In the last minute of stoppage time in the first half, the Garotos do Ninho scored their second goal: Lucas Falcone crossed from the left and found Luiz Guilherme in the middle of the area, who controlled, turned and kicked the ball into the back of the net.

The second half started in the same way as the first ended, with Flamengo looking for the goal and on two occasions, at 3 and 9 minutes, Mengão almost increased the advantage obtained in the first half, with Rogerio Araujo and João Vitor, with shots that went very close to the goal defended by the Bahia goalkeeper.

The home team's biggest chance in the second half came from a shot from outside the box, which goalkeeper Eduardo Clasen made a beautiful save in the 25th minute.

Kaio Gomes also had his chance to score the third for the Garotos do Ninho, at 39, after receiving a beautiful pass from Ryan Roberto, but ended up finishing on top of the goalkeeper.

Bahia continued to press, but Mengão managed to hold on to the result until the end of the game and secure the important away victory.

The next challenge for the U-17 Ninho Boys will now be the second leg of the final of the Carioca Championship in the category against Botafogo, at home, next Saturday (05), starting at 14:45 pm. Mengão lost the first game, at Nilton Santos, 5-4 and will be looking for the second consecutive championship for the Ninho do Urubu kids.
