Away from home, Flamengo's U-17s beat Bangu 5-0 in the Copa Rio
The red-black team finished in second place in the first phase of the competition

Playing this Saturday (27), at the Proletário Guilherme da Silveira stadium (Moça Bonita), Flamengo closed its participation in the first phase of the Copa Rio, with a victory by beating Bangu, 5-0. The red-black goals were scored by Germano, Felipe Teresa, Fabrício, Joshua and Douglas.
With this result, Mengão finished its participation in the qualifying phase of the competition in second place with 26 points (8 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss). The Garotos do Ninho's opponent in the semifinals will be Botafogo. With a better record, Mengão will have the right to decide the return leg at home.
The game
With a blistering pace in the first half, the team led by coach Léo Ramos built the lead in the first half. Just three minutes in, Germano opened the scoring with a penalty kick. After the timeout, the red-and-black team scored two more beautiful goals, with Felipe Teresa scoring from outside the box in the 3nd minute and Fabricio chipping the ball from the edge of the six-yard box in the 22nd.
After the break, the Mais Querido (Team's Favorite) returned even more aware of the importance of goal difference, which could help them reach second place. After 30 seconds, Joshua scored the fourth. To seal the deal, Douglas, who came on in the second half, rounded off the rout.
