In the fourth round of the Brasileirão Sub-17, Flamengo beat São Paulo 1-0 on Tuesday night (25), at CT de Cotia-SP. The Rubro-Negro's goal was scored by Mateus Dias, after a beautiful pass from Matheus Gonçalves. With the result, the Garotos do Ninho are in the isolated lead of Group A, with 12 points, and continue with 100% success in the championship.

The game
Flamengo started the match pressing, making it difficult for São Paulo to get the ball out. The red-and-black team struggled to get the ball out, and as a result, they adopted a strategy of waiting for the home team to break through on the counterattack.

In the 27th minute, Flamengo threatened to attack. França received the ball behind the defense and shot with his left foot, but the goalkeeper saved. São Paulo had the majority of possession and created opportunities to open the scoring. The first half ended goalless, with goalkeeper Dyogo being the main figure on the pitch for Flamengo.

In the second half, Mais Querido came back with a different approach and created a good opportunity in the 15th minute. Victor Hugo received a pass at the edge of the box, controlled it, and spun to strike. The ball hit the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Victor Hugo delivered a beautiful pass to Petterson, who hit the crossbar with his first touch.

Soon after, Mengão opened the scoring! In the 24th minute, Matheus Gonçalves, who has been starting games very well, passed the ball to Mateusão. The forward advanced quickly and tapped it past the goalkeeper to give Flamengo a 1-0 lead.

In the final stretch, Flamengo knew how to manage the result and achieved their fourth consecutive victory, maintaining their unbeaten run in the competition.
