In the second round of Group B of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship, Flamengo drew with Ceará 2-2 this Sunday (11), at CT Cidade Vozão. The goals of Mais Querido were scored by Ryan Luka and Werton.
The game
The first half began with both teams looking to attack. In the opening minutes, Ceará adopted a strategy of pressing the red-and-black team's attacking play, which struggled to pass the ball out. In the 21st minute, the Ceará team's play was misplaced, and the ball fell to Victor Hugo, who fired a rocket against the crossbar, nearly opening the scoring for Flamengo.
Little by little, the Boys from the Nest began to loosen up and consistently attacked. In the 31st minute, during a counterattack for Ceará, João Victor was awarded a penalty. David converted the penalty, making it 1-0. After the goal, the Red-Blacks had to push forward more and created a few opportunities to equalize, but the home team managed to go into the break with a narrow advantage.
In the second half, Ceará continued to play more aggressively and created a threat. In the 10th minute, Mengão tied the match! Ryan Luka received the ball at the edge of the box, cut to the left, and shot into the corner of the net to level the score at 1-1. In the 17th minute, Ceará turned the game around! After a back-and-forth inside the box, the ball fell to Werton, who slotted it home to make it 2-1.
In the 21st minute, Ryan Luka again came close to the right edge of the penalty area and took a shot. The goalkeeper saved it, and the ball hit the crossbar before going out for a corner. In the 28th minute, Ceará had a good chance with João Victor, who was one-on-one with Kauã, cut to the left, and shot. The red-and-black goalkeeper recovered well and saved.
At 36', Ceará equalized with Rafael, in a counter-attack play: 2-2. The Mais Querido still had opportunities to take the lead on the scoreboard, but the match ended in a draw.
